What does CEC accreditation & Approved Solar Retailer mean?

Clean Energy Council (CEC) Accreditation is awarded to individual electricians who have completed the necessary qualifications. For grid-connect solar, inidviduals can install solar systems but must hold an unrestricted electrical license to qualify for this accreditation.

CEC Approved Solar Retailer is awarded to individual businesses that have become signatories to the CEC Code of Conduct. The goal of this program is to raise and hold the standards of the industry, retailers who are approved solar retailers have to follow regulated guidelines issued by the CEC. Including but not limited to, using approved solar panels and inverters, following installation guidelines and safe practices and having every installation inspected by an independent inspector to ensure these guidelines have been followed.

What this means to you is that all solar retailers who are accredited are dedicated to providing quality industry approved products, strict and safe installation practices and after installation support.
